They lived with a family of five in his uncle's one bedroom apartment in Las Colinas for about a year until they got on their feet. At the age of 15, Daniel got his first job making $5.25 an hour working at the local Chuckie Cheese hosting birthday parties and dressing up as a giant rat. In high school Daniel was a competitive gymnast and worked as a coach after school teaching tumbling classes and boys gymnastics.
